Renovation in North Harbor

A renovation of the North Shore has been in the works for a while now, and there are a number of reasons why the project is taking shape so nicely. The first reason has to do with the economic environment of the area right now. In a weak economy any project – even something as small as a road repair – is a big deal. That is especially true in Rhode Island. Home values have plummeted in some areas and that combined with the rising cost of living has led to fewer people being able to afford their homes.

There are a couple of reasons for that. One is the rising cost of everything else in the state. The other is the steady decline of real estate values across the country. For several areas this means that houses are actually losing value. That is why there is such a demand for property in the area. It is a buyers market.

But don’t think that means you cannot buy a house in the North Shore. If you have a little foresight, you can make it happen. You see, there is a market for renovation in the area. This one in particular is really coming into its own. This is the home of the Providence Journal. And since the Journal loves to spend its time in Rhode Island, that means you can take advantage of a great investment.

One thing that needs to be done in the area is some sort of flood protection. The Rhode Island Public Development Commission needs to seriously look into what is going on at least along the Eastern Shore. You see, at the moment, it looks like the area has been hit hard by Hurricane Emily. So it needs to have some consideration put into improving flood protection.

Another good idea is to improve the drainage around the Eastern Seam. If you can do that, you’ll cut down on some of the problem. Don’t worry, you won’t have to tear down anything. Actually, demolition will likely be needed. Once the roads and bridges in that area are up, though, you can get your businesses back up and running again.

There is also the matter of the schools in the area. Those are going to need to have some sort of overhaul, even if it’s just a new paint job. You’ll find that with the low supply of students in the city, the schools are struggling to serve everyone. That includes all of those wonderful charter schools that were started in the city.

There are some amazing places to eat in the area too. There are two incredible restaurants in Old Town that should definitely be taken a look at. But, the best place to eat might be at the Anchor Inn on Court Street. I had my first taste of seafood there a couple of years ago. It was absolutely delicious. If I’m ever in that part of town again, I’ll schedule a return visit.

In terms of the night life in Rhode Island, things are pretty much the same as they are anywhere else. You’ll find great bars and clubs. You can party all night. You’ll also find that the prices are pretty much on the same level as other cities. With some of the great places listed above, it’s hard to argue with the claim that North Shore has everything to offer. There’s plenty to do and see in this area, and there’s certainly more to be said about the people in the area than the scenery.

If you’re looking for a family-friendly location, this is it. It’s not just a place for people with young families to hang out though. There are plenty of senior living facilities as well. These are topnotch in terms of service and quality of life. The state of the senior living facility in this area should be one of the first places that you look when you consider retirement.

There’s also a great array of shops and boutiques in Old Town. If you’re in the market for some high-quality clothing or some other items, you should take a look. There are also plenty of fine restaurants. You can easily spend an entire day in this region without visiting another shop.

The area itself offers so many opportunities for visitors who love to explore. It’s convenient to many different destinations and very accessible. Even if you aren’t the type to admit defeat, don’t think that this renovation won’t bring you much enjoyment. Take a trip down the famous Route 1 and discover what it’s all about. If this sounds like your perfect vacation spot, why not take a chance on a renovation in North Harbor?
